I was looking for
someone to complete me.
Not anymore, dear.

Out With Teh Old...

So with 2008 drawing to a close it's time I look back and reflect upon all that has happened this year.  It was a year filled with much change.  Change in both the small world that I inhabit with family and friends as well as the world around us.  Some for better and some for worse.  I think that it's how we push through these changes that really show our character.  In the face of adversity and hardship to we sink or do we swim?  There were many trying times that I went through but with the help of those that I love, the tough parts were not as tough as I thought they would be.

There are many things to be happy about and many things to look back upon and figure out the mistakes.  All in all the experiences of another year help to shape and mold who I am.  I am glad I went through it all and still came out a little more banged up but I'm still standing!  "Whatever doesn't kill you..." well you know the rest.

Looking forward to the coming year I can already see many changes on the horizon.  I just have to understand that in order for me to reach those goals and see those changes through to the end, I have to dig in my heels, and push forward.  That task is made so much easier when you have someone close in your life and you know that through thick and thin they will stick by your side with no questions asked.  I could go on and on about this but I figure I'll keep those to myself.  =)

One of, if not THE highlight of the year was finding that one for me.  To feel her curl up to me in the middle of the night is just amazing.  I've never seen my family take to someone so quickly.  I think that they see the love that just radiates from her and understand how happy she makes me.

Whatever 2008 meant to you, may the new year bring you all much joy and happiness.  Take care, have fun and have a drink.

Cheers.

Another Year Older...

I turn 26 today.   I feel like somewhere, someone lost a bet on me.

Despite a few setbacks here and there I am so happy where I am in life.

Rocking a slight hangover today (GF and I each had a pitcher and a half of German beer last night).  5 more hours of work left then try to relax before my big night out with friends.

Hope you all have a good weekend!

I love not having to turn off the dork mode.

^_^

This shoulda been a pulse update but I wanted to get in and use the old editor once more.

Such a great weekend!  Drinking, partying, loving, cuddling, relaxing, lounging, and eating!

Note to self:  make reservation for her bday dinner today!

Oh now that I've tasted blood,
now this wine seems to thin.

People Annoy Me...

Ok maybe just the shitty LA drivers.  There are a few people in particular hate more than others though...

1)  The Mexicans in the gardening trucks.  Why must you drive 60mph in the fast lane??  Move the fuck over and let other people through dumbass.  I know you just got into the country and don't want to break any rules but keep you truck in the slow lane.  It also benefits you because if a lawnmower falls out of the back you only have to go over one lane to the shoulder!!

2)  The old people.  You BARELY see over the top of your steering wheel and you are a slow driver.  Why do you think it's ok for you to get on the freeway?  You don't even look over to merge.  Do you decide the time is right based upon gut instinct?  Or do you just not care anymore?  Don't look at me like I'm the asshole for honking and reminding you there is someone in the lane next to you.

3)  Asian women.  What's up with the welders mask?  Seriously.  I know you just got off the construction site but please I'm sure that has to limit your damn field of view.  It's small enough already you don't need to fuck it up even more.

4)  People who leave their blinkers on.  Shit or get off the pot.  You're afraid of commitment aren't you?  You drive along for three miles with your blinker on and riding the line yet you never make it over.  Is it that scary?  Would you rather miss your exit than moving over seven feet to switch lanes?  I hate you.

5)  Bro's in lifted trucks aka Flat Billers.  You're obviously overcompensating for something with a truck that could scale Mount Everest.  Plus you never even take it off road you fucking poseur.

6)  Ricers.  Yes I drive a WRX.  No I don't want to race you.  Eat a dick.

Everyone else I can more or less deal with.  If I see a guy coming up behind me fast, I'll move over and realize I'm being a retard by holding up traffic.  I have curtains making anything past the driver and passenger seat a giant blind spot but I've never been honked at for making a close call lane change.

Gah!!  Sorry I just had to vent.
